Dallas Christian Academy Academic Goals

~~~~~~~ Academic Goals ~~~~~~~
Dallas Christian Academy desires, through all its educational programs, to prepare youth for success in the 21st Century and beyond. A part of the Seventh-day Adventist Educational System, DCA is committed to providing a Christian value-based education focusing on the development of the whole person.
Dallas Christian Academy is accredited by the Accrediting Association of Seventh-day Adventist Schools, a recognized member of the national council for private school accreditation, the Texas Private school accreditation commission, and the Texas Education Agency.  Students in the Seventh-day Adventist Educational System consistently test six months ahead of public school students in all subject areas and all grade levels.
~~~~~~~ Physical Goals ~~~~~~~

The Seventh-day Adventist physical education curriculum seeks to help students learn to reflect God’s image by achieving proficiency in developmental and character areas of motor skills, fitness, positive attributes, and interpersonal Skills. Such development involves the mind in critical thinking, which is essential to the development of Christian values; the Body in age appropriate motor, fitness, and self-evaluation, which embraces the biblical teaching that the body is the temple of God; and the Spirit in continual growth that recognizes the importance of selfless concern, care, and service for others.

~~~~~~~ Social Goals ~~~~~~~
Dallas Christian Academy seeks to prepare its students to become productive, responsible, and service-minded members of society.  DCA’s safe and caring educational environment fosters the development of positive social skills in each child.  Students of Dallas Christian Academy are encouraged to adopt a wholesome respect and appreciation for each unit of society, and are encouraged to gain an understanding of the privileges, rights, and responsibilities guaranteed each individual and social group
~~~~~~~ Spiritual Goals ~~~~~~~

Dallas Christian Academy’s educational program is predicated on the belief that each student is unique and of inestimable value, and on the importance of the development of the whole person. Students are educated to accept service as a way of life and to be sensitive to the needs of the people in their home and society.

The primary aim of Dallas Christian Academy is to provide opportunity for students to know and accept Jesus Christ as their Savior, to allow the Holy Spirit to transform their lives, and to fulfill the commission of preaching the Gospel to all the world.
